Dr. Andrew M. Smith serves the University of Kentucky as the Assistant Vice President for Auxiliary Services. He has 20 years of professional experience in higher education ranging in fields that include recruitment, conduct, diversity, residential life, and well-being. After a year as a cadet in the United States Military Academy at West Point, Andrew transferred to Centre College where he graduated with a B.A. in Political Science and Government. He then earned a Master's degree in Public Administration from Eastern Kentucky University, and ultimately a doctorate (Ed.D.) in Educational Policy Studies and Evaluation from the University of Kentucky.

Andrew lives in Lexington, Kentucky with his wife, three children, and a toothless chihuahua named Addy. In his free time, he has none, as he spends all of his non-work-related time serving as an unpaid Uber driver for his children to various practices, games, and pageants. He also holds the household titles of Destroyer of Bugs, Lifter of Heavy Objects, and Creator of Culinary Delights.
