Stephen Burr, MBA, CISSP

Chief Information Security Officer

Stephen Burr is the Chief Information Security Officer at the University of Kentucky. He has worked at UK for over twenty years, serving in information technology leadership roles focused on cybersecurity, operations, and analytics. In his current role, he is responsible for leading enterprise cybersecurity efforts to defend the University against threats and protect the privacy of institutional data. Stephen holds an undergraduate degree from Pace University in Information Systems, a Master of Business Administration from the University of Kentucky, and a Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) certification from (ISC)2.
