Course Description:
This course provides a general overview of how to make an institutional purchase and how to work with procurement offices and suppliers. Content includes where purchasing rules/policies originate, fundamental business and ethical principles, different organizational purchasing structures and processes/techniques to achieve balance between the campus goal of getting purchases fast, and incorporating best value and risk mitigation.
