Course Description:
This entry-level session will introduce participants to the fundamentals of designing a shared services model for business operations at the department or divisional level in higher education. Participants will learn what shared services are, why institutions adopt them, and how they can improve consistency, efficiency, and service quality. The session will cover key concepts such as defining scope, clarifying roles and responsibilities, establishing service expectations, and engaging stakeholders in a collaborative process. No prior experience with shared services is required.
