Cathy Pacheco is a seasoned higher education retail leader with more than 25 years of experience in the academic bookstore industry. She began her career with Barnes & Noble College as a part time bookseller while a student at Tufts University. Over the years, Cathy advanced through multiple leadership roles, supporting campus store operations at institutions including William & Mary, Yale University, and Stony Brook University.
Her proven results led to her promotion to Regional Manager, overseeing campus stores at universities such as The Ohio State University, the University of Pennsylvania, and Penn State University. Today, as Director of Stores for the Midwest, Cathy leads teams serving a diverse portfolio of institutions, ranging from large research universities to community colleges and small private schools. She is known for her collaborative leadership style, contract expertise, and commitment to delivering exceptional, student focused retail experiences that meet evolving needs and expectations.
