Dayton White serves as Assistant Dean for Finance & Administration in the E. J. Ourso College of Business at Louisiana State University, where he leads a broad administrative portfolio supporting the college’s financial strategy, operations, and organizational effectiveness. In this role, he oversees a $48 million operating budget spanning state, private, and grant funding, while partnering closely with academic leadership to align resources with institutional priorities. His team is comprised of accounting, hr, scholarships, it and grants professionals and students.
Known for his data-informed approach to leadership, Dayton specializes in translating complex analytics into actionable strategies that enhance decision-making, improve service delivery, and strengthen cross-functional collaboration. He has led initiatives in strategic planning, strategic analytics, and operational improvement, helping break down silos and drive measurable outcomes across the college and university.
In addition to his administrative role, Dayton serves as an Adjunct Instructor, where he developed and teaches a course in advanced data modeling using spreadsheets, equipping students with industry-recognized certifications in Microsoft Excel (MO-210/211).
He holds a Master of Science in Analytics from Louisiana State University and a Bachelor of Business Administration in Finance from Texas A&M University.
