Emily Moran serves as the Executive Director of Operations & Strategic Initiatives for the University of Florida College of Nursing, where she oversees a broad portfolio of operational units critical to the College’s success. In this role, she provides strategic leadership for Finance, Human Resources, Facilities, Project Management, Communications/Marketing & Branding, Information Technology and Instructional Design, and Data & Analytics.
Emily leads initiatives that strengthen the College’s operational foundation, advance institutional priorities, and support an exceptional experience for faculty, staff, and students. Her work centers on building integrated, efficient, and forward‑thinking systems that enable the College to achieve its academic, research, and clinical missions. She is particularly passionate about cultivating collaborative environments, designing processes that remove barriers, and implementing innovative solutions that empower teams to do their best work.
With a career grounded in strategic planning, operational excellence, and data‑informed decision‑making, Emily has a track record of developing high-performing teams and leading complex, cross‑functional projects. She is committed to driving organizational clarity, improving transparency, and elevating communication and engagement across the College of Nursing.
Prior to her current role, Emily served in UF’s CFO Office as Director of Finance Strategy & Analytics, where she guided institution-wide initiatives focused on training, engagement, communication, and financial data solutions. The experience strengthened her passion for building systems and resources that make complex operational areas approachable and accessible for all.
Emily holds a Master’s of Accounting from Florida Atlantic University. Outside of work, she prioritizes time with her husband and their three children—preferably outdoors, exploring new places, or getting lost in a good bookstore.
