Jasmine Prince, M Ed

Associate Director of the Martin Luther King Center

Jasmine Prince is a dynamic leader in the diversity, inclusion, and equity within higher education, boasting over 8 years of experience at the forefront of multicultural student programming, leadership development, recruitment & retention, and student success. She currently serves as the Associate Director for the Martin Luther King Center at the University of Kentucky where she executes programming initiatives, including monthly dialogue series, signature heritage month experiences, and plays a pivotal role in strategic planning for the office. Prior to her tenure at the University of Kentucky, Jasmine held the position of Assistant Director for Inclusive Excellence Initiatives at Auburn University's Office of Inclusion and Diversity. During her time at Auburn, she spearheaded a transformative student success program aimed at nurturing the holistic development of scholars from historically underrepresented, low-income, and first-generation backgrounds. Jasmine's journey in fostering inclusive communities was ignited during her undergraduate years at the University of Alabama at Birmingham, where she distinguished herself as a student leader. Her commitment to this cause deepened as she pursued her Master's degree in College Student Affairs at the University of South Florida, where she served as a program manager in the Office of Multicultural Affairs. Through her experiences, Jasmine learned the value of creating inclusive and diverse communities, leading with a lens of inclusivity, centering student success, and fostering student belonging. Jasmine is passionate about building environments where students of color can engage in opportunities to build their leadership capacity, build community, grow as scholars and emerging professionals, and ultimately thrive. When she’s off the clock, Jasmine enjoys collecting passport stamps and airline miles, attending concerts and music festivals, play time with her dog, Sage, and impromptu living room dance parties.
