In a career spanning two decades, Kristen Sutherland honed her expertise in driving organizational excellence through a commitment to continuous process assessment and improvement. Overseeing hundreds of millions of dollars in university grant financial, programmatic, and operations management, she brings to the table a wealth of experience in team building, staff training, and full-cycle project management, coupled with a keen eye for budget development and cost containment. She received her master’s degree and two professional certifications in Safety, Security, and Emergency Management, Corporate Security Operations, and Emergency Management and Disaster Relief. Now representing the Center for Disaster Recovery and Resilience at the University of Kentucky, Kristen is working to redefine FEMA Public Assistance processes and project management at an enterprise level.
