Marianne R. L. Young serves as the Assistant Vice President for Financial Wellness at the University of Kentucky. In this role she oversees the Financial Wellness Center, the Basic Needs Office, the Big Blue Food Pantry, and is a part of the UK Invests team. She previously served as the Assistant Vice President for Student Development & Support where she worked with academic, program, and career advising at the University of Kentucky within the areas of University Academic Advising, the Stuckert Career Center, Student Support Services, the Center for Academic Resources and Enrichment Services, and Student Community Resources and Services. Prior to joining the Office of the Vice President for Student Success at UK, Young served as an assistant dean in the Gatton College of Business and Economics at the University of Kentucky. Young received her bachelor’s degree from Transylvania University, her M.S. and Ed.S. in Counseling Psychology and her Ph.D. in Studies in Higher Education, from the University of Kentucky.
