Wayne Thomas is an electrical engineer by education. He spent more than 30 years in the private sector and has been a principal in two consulting engineering firms in Lexington. During his time in the private sector, Wayne was a part of design teams for construction projects in a variety of sectors, including higher education, K-12, civic/government, healthcare, and energy. Since 2022, Wayne has been with the University of Kentucky as the Director of Capital Project Management (CPM). The CPM team manages all construction projects at UK - both academic and healthcare – greater in value than $1M.
